These two adjectives describe prayer.
James 5:13- 16 (Bible) talks about the prayer and of faith of its power to heal, for forgiveness and of its effectiveness. God uses the prayers of the faithful and urges people to pray for each other. As Lloyd, Esther and I head out to the Dominican, we urge you to pray. May we suggest some specific things that you might pray for.
Pray for Jovanny, who will be our driver that he stays healthy, that he drives accident free and that God uses him in driving but also helps him grow spiritually.
Pray for Pastora Ana, Marleny, Pastor Gabriel and his wife Wilkenia as they attend English classes given By Esther.
Pray for baby Adonai (Pastor Gabriel’s son) who will be presented or dedicated in a service while we are there.
Pray for the craft sale – the sale of supplies for a wide variety of crafts – for the fun we hope to have with the sale on the Saturday afternoon and for the funds that will be used to help a construction in Maizal.
Pray for opportunities to speak with church leaders and pastors as we talk about a possible pilot project to evangelize and try to provide some education for Haitian children who cannot attend regular schools because they do not have the legal documents required.
Pray that people will learn about Jesus because we visited the Dominican
BUT also begin now giving thanks for the wonderful things God will do while we are in the Dominican
