Sunday Morning Westpark Church in London, Ontario initiated a new Spanish language ministry with a service at 10:30 in the morning. Associate pastor Mario Vaquedano leads this ministry and was ably assisted by worship leader Marcos Hernandez.
Pastor Mario and his wife shared briefly of their experience and their excitement in being in the place God called them to be. Special music was provided by a children’s choir which sang in the English congregation, then the Chinese congregation and finally the Hispanic congregation.
The initial teaching series is about aspects of the church. We sang about Jesus being our Saviour and then looked at Jesus’s ministry as teacher, pastor and healer. The special focus for the first Sunday was seeing the church as a hospital. The church needs to be healing minds, souls and bodies.
