Set Apart for Me

Set Apart for Me

Rosio Luis Nefi “Somebody new was at Spanish service while you were away, a young couple with a cute baby boy.”

Great! Did you get a name or phone number? No?  I hope they are there next week.  Nefi and Rocio, his wife, and baby Luis Fernandez have been there every Sunday since. Luis Fernandez is every one’s favourite. The Mexican workers who miss their children and grandchildren love to hold Luis.

Nefi is originally from El Salvador and has been living in Sarnia for 14 years. He blesses our small worship community of workers with help with cellular phones and computers, instructions for a juicer but more so with prayer in tough moments and with messages that touch others and help people grow spiritually. His wife, Rocio, has a beautiful singing voice and is a talented worship leader.

In Acts 13:2, we read “the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.”  The Holy Spirit has been speaking to Nefi and calling him to work with Hispanics in Sarnia. On Sunday, we prayed and placed hands on Nefi and Rocio and Benito who will take leadership of Iglesia del Buen Samaritano.  More about Benito in another post.

Que Dios les bendiga y guía en ministerio. May God bless and guide them in ministry.
